Hooks fell 7-3 to Bulldogs on Friday despite out-hitting them eight to seven. Gabe Baker and Daniel Zamora each collected two hits for Hooks.

Bulldogs were the first to get on the board in the third when Tyler Frailey drew a walk, scoring one run.

Michael Landeck lined out, which helped Hooks tie the game at one in the bottom of the fourth.

Bulldogs flipped the game on its head in the top of the sixth, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 7-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a walk by Braeden Lockart that drove in two.

Michael Landeck homered to left field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth for the Hooks.

Braeden Lockart earned the win for Bulldogs. The pitcher gave up eight hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking none. Javi Cantu took the loss for Hooks. The hurler went one inning, surrendering six runs on four hits, striking out three and walking three. Dylan Kuester stepped on the mound first for Hooks. The hurler gave up three hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out eight and walking two.

Michael Landeck drove the middle of the lineup, leading Hooks with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-3 on the day.

Tyler Frailey and Braeden Lockart were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Bulldogs while hitting back-to-back. Tyler Frailey went 2-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Mathew Black, Braeden Lockart, Korbin Coleman, and A Reyes each stole multiple bases for Bulldogs. Bulldogs worked the count all day, accumulating six walks. Bulldogs stole 10 bases in the game. Bulldogs turned one double play in the game.
