
Hooks were triumphant over #SheGone 8-5 on Sunday at Cravens Park.
Hooks got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Michael Landeck singled to the left side of the infield, Luis Sotomayor singled to center field, and Jaxson Berry hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Hooks added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when Steven Mock drew a walk, scoring one run, and Jonathan Bermudez doubled, scoring two runs.
Tim Abercrombie earned the win for Hooks. The hurler allowed five hits and three runs over five innings, striking out six and walking four. Tyler Marsh took the loss for #SheGone. The hurler went three innings, giving up six runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking four. Daniel Zamora collected the save. Joshua Holloway appeared in relief for Hooks.
Hooks piled up nine hits in the game. Michael Landeck provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Hooks with three runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-4 on the day. Luis Sotomayor, Michael Landeck, and Nic Nelson each collected two hits for Hooks. Hooks had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game.
Billy McDaniel Jr went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead #SheGone in hits. Harrison Hess, Gabe Kubankin, Billy McDaniel Jr, Anthony Pena, and Matt Badell each drove in one run for #SheGone.
