Both teams were strong on the bump on Sunday, but Hooks defeated Warriors 3-1. Gabe Torres started the game for Hooks and recorded 21 outs.

Gabe Torres struck out 10 batters on the day. The hurler also surrendered three hits and one run over seven innings while walking three.

Hooks got on the board in the first inning after Gabe Torres hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

A sacrifice fly by Daniel Zamora extended the Hooks lead to 2-0 in the top of the third inning.

Peyton took the loss for Warriors. The starting pitcher went seven innings, surrendering three runs (two earned) on five hits, striking out eight and walking one.

Steven Mock and John Otterson each collected two hits for Hooks. Gabe Torres, John Otterson, and Daniel Zamora each drove in one run for Hooks. Hooks turned one double play in the game.

Malen, Drew, and Carlos each collected one hit for Warriors. Carlos went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in.

Hooks welcome Reds on Wednesday for their next game.
