
John Otterson collected three hits in three at bats, as Hooks defeated Pineapples 14-5 on Wednesday at McInnish Baseball Fields. John Otterson hit an inside the park home run in the fourth inning, doubled in the second inning, and singled in the first inning.
Hooks got on the board in the top of the first inning after Pineapples committed an error, Daniel Zamora singled to center field, Pineapples committed an error, and Luis Sotomayor grounded out, each scoring one run.
Hooks scored three runs in the top of the second on an inside the park home run by Nic Nelson following a 8-pitch at-bat.
Hooks scored five runs on six hits in the top of the fourth inning. Nick Zamora doubled, scoring one run, John Otterson hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs, and Luis Sotomayor doubled, scoring two runs.
Brandon Collins earned the win for Hooks. The pitcher gave up eight hits and four runs over four innings, striking out two and walking two. Fleury took the loss for Pineapples. The starter went four innings, surrendering 12 runs (eight earned) on 12 hits, striking out four and walking two. Cody Andersen appeared in relief for Hooks.

Zubia, the number nine hitter for Pineapples, led the way with two runs batted in. Zubia went 1-for-1 on the day. Dunn and Shatto each collected two hits for Pineapples. Baldridge stole two bases. Pineapples ran wild on the base paths, piling up four stolen bases for the game.
