Daniel Zamora collected three hits in three at bats, as Hooks defeated Wolves 6-5 on Sunday at McInnish Baseball Fields. Daniel Zamora doubled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

Hooks built a 5-run lead in the third inning and then held off Wolves's charge. Wolves closed the gap by scoring on a double and a triple.

Hooks got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Daniel Zamora doubled to left field, Nic Nelson doubled down the left field line, and Steven Mock singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Hooks added one run in the second after Nic Nelson doubled to left field.

A single by Daniel Zamora extended the Hooks lead to 5-0 in the bottom of the third inning.

Ethan Lopez earned the win for Hooks. The starter surrendered three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out three and walking none. Thomas took the loss for Wolves. The starter went five and two-thirds innings, surrendering six runs on 13 hits, striking out 10 and walking two. Nic Nelson collected the save.

Hooks amassed 13 hits in the game. Griffin Lewis, John Otterson, and Matt Bailey each collected multiple hits for Hooks. Hooks were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Nic Nelson had the most chances in the field with two.

Estrada #12, the number eight hitter for Wolves, led the way with three runs batted in. Estrada #12 went 1-for-3 on the day. Daniels #26 led Wolves with two hits in four at bats. Wolves were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Thomas had the most chances in the field with one.
