Hooks won big over Rockies 22-3 on Sunday at Cravens Park.

Hooks jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Nic Nelson singled, scoring two runs, Griffin Lewis doubled, scoring one run, Jonathan Bermudez singled, scoring one run, Jordan Stickler singled, scoring one run, Cody Andersen singled, scoring one run, Matt Bailey singled, scoring one run, Dylan Kuester hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Nick Zamora singled, scoring one run.

Hooks added one run in the second after Griffin Lewis singled to right field.

A single by Cody Andersen extended the Hooks lead to 11-1 in the top of the third inning.

Hooks scored seven runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. Daniel Zamora singled, scoring two runs, Nic Nelson doubled, scoring one run, Jonathan Bermudez doubled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, and Nick Zamora drew a walk, scoring one run.

Griffin Lewis earned the win for Hooks. The pitcher gave up zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out three and walking none. Andrew took the loss for Rockies. The starting pitcher went three innings, giving up 12 runs (11 earned) on 13 hits, striking out none and walking three. Ethan Lopez, Nick Hekkert, Jonathan Bermudez, and Cody Andersen each came on in relief for Hooks and shutdown Rockies.

Hooks accumulated 21 hits in the game. Daniel Zamora led Hooks with three hits in four at bats. Jonathan Bermudez and Nic Nelson each drove in three runs for Hooks. Jordan Stickler, Griffin Lewis, John Otterson, Nick Hekkert, Matt Bailey, and Cody Andersen each collected multiple hits for Hooks. Hooks had a strong eye at the plate, amassing 10 walks for the game. Luis Sotomayor, Ethan Lopez, and Nick Hekkert led the team with two free passes each.

Andrew and Gonzalez were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Rockies. Gonzalez led Rockies with one hit in three at bats.
