John Otterson collected four hits in four at bats, as Hooks defeated Tejas 12-4 on Sunday at Northwest Community Park. John Otterson tripled in the second inning, tripled in the fourth inning, doubled in the sixth inning, and singled in the first inning.

Hooks were the first to get on the board in the first when Daniel Zamora doubled, scoring three runs.

Tejas scored one run in the bottom of the first on a solo home run to left field by T Martin.

A triple by John Otterson extended the Hooks lead to 4-1 in the top of the second inning.

Hooks added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Steven Mock singled down the right field line, and Ethan Lopez walked, each scoring one run.

Tejas scored three runs in the bottom of the third on a home run to left field by D Herrera.

Daniel Zamora earned the win for Hooks. The pitcher gave up seven hits and four runs over four innings, striking out six and walking one. N Morales took the loss for Tejas. The pitcher went six innings, giving up 10 runs (eight earned) on 10 hits, striking out nine and walking three. Jack Finnegan collected the save.

Hooks piled up 12 hits in the game. Steven Mock and Daniel Zamora were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Hooks. Ethan Lopez collected two hits for Hooks in three at bats. Steven Mock stole two bases. Hooks had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Hooks stole five bases in the game.

D Herrera provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Tejas with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Tejas's Banda, the number seven hitter, led Tejas with three hits in three at bats. G Martinez stole two bases. Tejas stole four bases in the game.

Hooks welcome Tejas on Sunday for their next game.
