Gabe Torres drove in four runs on two hits to lead Hooks past Cubs 11-0 on Sunday at McInnish Baseball Fields. Gabe Torres hit a home run to left field in the sixth inning, scoring three runs, and tripled in the fifth inning, scoring one.

Hooks scored seven runs in the sixth inning on the way to victory.  G Puyear induced Daniel Zamora to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Gabe Torres homered to left field, scoring three runs, Brandon Collins was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Rodney McDaniel singled, scoring one run, and G Puyear induced John Otterson to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Hooks jumped out to the lead in the top of the fifth inning after Nic Nelson homered to left field, scoring two runs, Gabe Torres tripled, scoring one run, and Steven Mock singled, scoring one run.

Daniel Zamora earned the win for Hooks. The hurler surrendered two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking two. A Arey took the loss for Cubs. The starting pitcher went four innings, giving up four runs on 10 hits, striking out five and walking two. Jack Finnegan collected the save.

Hooks piled up 14 hits in the game. John Otterson and Austen Govea each collected three hits for Hooks. Daniel Zamora collected two hits for Hooks in five at bats. Austen Govea stole two bases. Hooks ran wild on the base paths, piling up five stolen bases for the game. Hooks turned one double play in the game.

A Arey and B Pieschel were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Cubs. C Reckendorf stole two bases. Cubs were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. A Arey had the most chances in the field with one.
