Hooks scored 12 runs in the second inning, which helped them defeat Rockies 18-0 on Sunday at Cravens Park.  Nick Zamora drew a walk, scoring one run, Luis Sotomayor singled, scoring one run, John Otterson singled, scoring one run, Nic Nelson doubled, scoring two runs, Nick Hekkert singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Cody Andersen drew a walk, scoring one run, and Nick Zamora drew a walk, scoring one run.

Hooks got on the board in the first inning after Daniel Zamora singled, scoring two runs.

Hooks added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Rockies committed an error, and Jordan Stickler singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Dylan Kuester earned the win for Hooks. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking none. Classen took the loss for Rockies. The hurler went one and two-thirds innings, giving up 14 runs (eight earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking six.

Hooks amassed 13 hits in the game. Daniel Zamora and Nic Nelson were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Hooks. Luis Sotomayor and Nick Hekkert each collected multiple hits for Hooks. Nick Zamora led Hooks with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Jonathan Bermudez stole three bases. Hooks stole six bases in the game. Hooks didn't commit a single error in the field. Daniel Zamora had the most chances in the field with eight.

Tschoerner led Rockies with one hit in two at bats.
