Hooks Fall To #SheGone On Walk-Off

A walk-off left Hooks on the wrong end of a 6-5 defeat to #SheGone on Wednesday. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the sixth when J Rodriguez singled, scoring one run.

A double by B McDaniel put #SheGone on the board in the bottom of the first.

John Otterson tripled to center field, which helped Hooks tie the game at two in the top of the third.

#SheGone took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. #3 singled, scoring two runs, to give #SheGone the leg up, 4-2.

Hooks tied the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a walk by Daniel Zamora, a sacrifice fly by Steven Mock, and a sacrifice fly by Matt Bailey.

M Meeks earned the win for #SheGone. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out 14 and walking one. Daniel Zamora took the loss for Hooks. The reliever went two and two-thirds innings, allowing two runs (zero earned) on three hits, striking out four and walking two. Dylan Kuester started the game for Hooks. The hurler allowed four hits and four runs over three innings, striking out four and walking four.

Luis Sotomayor and John Otterson were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Hooks. Steven Mock, John Otterson, Matt Bailey, Cody Andersen, and Daniel Zamora each drove in one run for Hooks. Cody Andersen stole two bases.

B McDaniel and J Rodriguez each collected two hits for #SheGone. B McDaniel and #3 each drove in two runs for #SheGone. A Pena led #SheGone with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting six walks for the game. A Pena stole two bases.

Hooks welcome Hound Dogs on Sunday for their next game.
