Hooks Defeats Warriors On Back Of Clutch Display From Otterson

John Otterson drove in four runs on three hits to lead Hooks past Warriors 16-4 on Sunday. John Otterson singled in the second scoring one, singled in the third scoring one, and singled in the fifth scoring one.

Hooks got on the board in the top of the first inning after Dom Coro doubled, and Rodney McDaniel singled, each scoring one run.

Hooks added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after John Otterson singled, and Hooks scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.

Hooks scored five runs on five hits in the top of the third inning. Jonathan Bermudez hit a solo home run to left field, Nick Zamora doubled, scoring one run, John Otterson singled, scoring one run, and Rodney McDaniel doubled, scoring two runs.

Jonathan Bermudez earned the win for Hooks. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and four runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking two. #22 took the loss for Warriors. They went three innings, allowing 12 runs (two earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking five.

Hooks collected 13 hits in the game. Nick Zamora, Rodney McDaniel, Dustin Thompson, and Dom Coro each collected multiple hits for Hooks. Vincent Brigandi stole two bases. Hooks had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game. Hooks stole four bases in the game.

#2, #3, #8, #4, and #9 each collected one hit for Warriors. #4 provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Warriors with two runs batted in. They went 1-for-3 on the day.
